Neoen acknowledges the GNP & Darumbal people, Traditional Owners of the land on which Mount Hopeful Wind Farm will harvest the energy of the wind. We pay our respects to their Elders past and present.

For Your Community

Mount Hopeful Wind Farm will bring a range of benefits to surrounding communities.

We’re keen to hear from the local community how we can share some of the benefits of this project with you.

Watch this video to see some of the benefits our Bulgana project in Victoria has brought to their region.

community benefits program

We believe in sharing the benefits of renewable energies with the communities we operate in.

The scheme will provide meaningful benefits to communities surrounding the Mount Hopeful Wind Farm.

We wouldn’t necessarily be able to pursue all of these projects, so we’re interested to see which ideas are the most popular. Please provide your feedback so we can decide which to pursue.

COMMUNITY BENEFIT FUND

We allocate funds to local community projects such as sports, clubs, tourism and heritage via a yearly grants process.

POSSIBILITY TO INVEST IN THE PROJECT

Community co-investment in renewables is common overseas and we’re excited to see it start in Australia.

SUBSIDIES FOR SOLAR & STORAGE

We could provide grants via approved installers to make rooftop solar and home battery storage more affordable.

Local ideas

Any particular local needs you’d like to see the project help out with?

ECONOMIC BENEFITS

Neoen focuses first on hiring local people for our projects. Locals know the land and have the skills and enthusiasm to support us during construction.

Our core team become regulars at local cafes and pubs, and we love to work with local suppliers who provide their products and services to help us over the life of the project.

Hiring would begin before construction, which we hope to start in 2023.
