Neoen has lodged a referral of the Mount Hopeful Wind Farm project to the Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment for review under the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 (EPBC Act).

The referral includes results from many years of detailed flora and fauna surveys across the project site and is based on a preliminary project layout. The Department of Agriculture, Water and Environment will assess the referral and decide on the future assessment pathway for this project under the EPBC Act.

The referral can be found on the EPBC Act – public notices portal (reference number 2021/9137) and is open for public comment until 23 February 2022.
